Idealstor stays true to the original goal of helping customers find easy-to-use solutions and partners with Paragon Software Group to offer holistic backup software.

2011
This was a year of big changes for Idealstor. The headquarters relocates to Austin, TX from Gaithersburg, MD and releases the 3TB removable drive.

2010
Knowing that small businesses and home-based businesses also need enterprise quality storage options, Idealstor introduces the Bantam. Strong and small, it’s a perfect fit for those with less than a terabyte of data to backup.

2008
With more and more companies moving towards virtualization, Idealstor once again listens to the needs of its customers and creates a VMWare Backup Solution. It also releases a 2TB removable SATA disk – as the manufacturers make larger disks, we continue to incorporate them.

2007
Idealstor’s FrankenNAS named “Finalist” for Backup Product of the Year by “Storage Magazine”. All companies are unique and so are their storage needs. Understanding that not all businesses need appliance-based storage, Idealstor releases the desktop-friendly and rack-friendly Teralyte.

2006
Idealstor was awarded the coveted CRN Test Center award for 4-bay Appliance. That same year we released the first ejectable SATA hard drives.

2005
Always innovating for their clients, Idealstor introduces the Ibac software product as well as the award-winning FrankenNAS system.

2002
Created from client need the Idealstor Backup Appliance was launched by Nezzen Systems. Later that year Idealstor became a separate entity dedicated to client satisfaction and affordable, secure data-storage innovations.
