Gaithersburg, MD January 17 2005 – Idealstor LLC, a leading manufacture of information storage solutions, announced today that it has developed and released their own disk to disk backup software.Ibac - Data Protection Software is designed for disk to disk backup applications. Ibac is scalable enough to be used in any environment from a small business to the largest enterprise IT department.
Ibac - Data Protection Software replicates data at a high speed onto a target disk. Ibac gets installed onto the Idealstor Backup Appliance or any Windows Server. Ibac allows end users to backup the servers and desktops on their network and functions without the use of remote agents. Ibac backs up data in its native format allowing data to be viewed on the backup server without the use of additional backup software. The only additional agent that is required is Ibac Open Volume Snapshot (OVS), which allows end users to backup open files and database files.
