Nezzen Systems splits off Enterprise Storage Division to Create a Separate Entity Known as Idealstor – Ejectable Disk to Disk Backup Appliance
Gaithersburg, MD – 1/1/2003 – Nezzen Systems, a leading systems integrator, today announced the creation of a wholly owned subsidiary designed to target the backup needs of the enterprise storage market. Idealstor, as this new entity will be known, has developed a truly unique backup appliance that allows for storage backups using ejectable IDE disks. This new spin on backup gives corporate IT Departments the ability to take advantage of the speed benefits provided by disks and the flexibility of off site storage usually provided only by tapes.
Idealstor was developed by Nandan Arora, Head Engineer and Chief Developer for Nezzen Systems. “For years our clients were complaining about tape based backup solutions and the problems tape created for network backups.” said Mr. Arora, “Our client’s needed the flexibility of offsite storage that tape provided, but could no longer afford to wait for the long backup windows and time to restore associated with this inflexible backup medium. This is how we came up with the idea to develop a disk to disk backup solution using IDE disks, IDE-alstor.”
