  • The warranty information applies to product sold to end users by Idealstor, one of its authorized Value-Added Resellers (VARs) or an authorized Distributor. For additional warranty details and post-warranty service/support options, please contact your Idealstor Representative.
  • Please call an Idealstor Technical Support Representative to diagnose your situation and issue you a Return Material Authorization (RMA) if applicable.

*Note: Hard Disks are generally covered by manufacturer's warranty which range from 1 to 3 years (varies based on the Manufacturer). After 30 days of purchase, the warranty should be claimed directly from the relevant Manufacturer.

  • Should a disk need to be returned to Idealstor, there must not be any damage to the disk. Please make sure that there are no markings or stickers on the disk. Any disks returned with markings or stickers will void the warranty on the disk.
  • The warranty shall be null and void, and Idealstor shall have no liability under the terms of the warranty, if the product has been used in an application or environment other than that for which it was intended or if it has been subjected to misuse, abuse, accidental damage, modification, improper repair or installation procedures or adverse environmental factors including incorrect line voltages, improper wiring, improperly rated fuses or circuit breakers, insufficient ventilation or incorrect temperatures or an act of God.
  • The warranty does not cover any product that has had the serial number altered, defaced or removed.
  • The warranty shall be the sole and exclusive remedy to the original end user.
  • In no event shall Idealstor be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any kind (property or economic damages inclusive) arising from the sale or use of this equipment. The end user assumes and will hold harmless Idealstor in respect of all such losses. Idealstor's liability on any claim for damages arising out of or in connection with the manufacture, sale, installation, delivery, or use of the unit shall never exceed the purchase price of the product or part.
  • Idealstor is not liable for any claim made by a third party or made by the purchaser for a third party.
  • This warranty supersedes any and all previous warranties, and may be changed at any time.
Idealstor Warranty Definitions and Process
Express Exchange Warranty

Express Exchange is applicable for defective parts only, and is at the sole discretion of Idealstor. Idealstor will endeavor to ship replacement part(s) within two (2) business days after an RMA has been issued. However, if the issue is not diagnosable, the entire unit may have to be returned to Idealstor for further evaluation and repair.

  • All Express Exchange shipments require a credit card deposit/authorization for security purposes.
  • Replacement part(s) may be either new or reconditioned as new.
  • End user is obligated to return the original, defective part(s) to Idealstor within fifteen (15) business days or the credit card on file will be charged.
  • End user is responsible for the removal and return of the defective part(s).
  • End user is responsible for the installation and configuration of the replacement part(s).
  • End user is responsible for shipping the return part(s) to Idealstor at their expense.
  • End user is responsible for ensuring that the defective part(s) that they are shipping is packed properly and insured.
  • Any return part(s) received by Idealstor, which is damaged, will be billed to the credit card on file and it will be the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the carrier they used.
Return-to-Depot Warranty

Return-to-Depot service is available for all products. Before returning a product, please make sure an Idealstor Representative has issued you an RMA.

  • Unit or part(s) may be returned to the end user as new or reconditioned as new.
  • Idealstor endeavors to have a turn-around time of two (2) business days for Return-to-Depot Warranty items.
  • End user is responsible for returning the defective hardware to Idealstor before a replacement will be made.
  • Any return part(s) received by Idealstor, which is damaged, will be billed to the credit card on file and it will be the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the carrier they used.
Shipping Guidelines
  • It is the end users responsibility to make sure that any item being shipped to Idealstor is properly packed and insured. Failure to do so will be the customer's responsibility. In case of an Express Exchange, Idealstor will charge the credit card on file.
  • Be advised that shipping policies are applicable to shipments within USA and Canada only. In all other cases, the end user should contact the local distributor or reseller.
  • Idealstor shall not be responsible for any handling fees, import duties or tariffs. Idealstor shall also not be responsible for shipping delays of any kind.
  • End user is responsible to refuse all packages that arrive damaged. Please notify Idealstor within 24 hours from the date of delivery if a package was delivered damaged. End user accepts full responsibility for accepting any packages damaged during shipping.
  • Idealstor ships using FedEx Ground.

There may be instances of delay in hardware or part return that are beyond our control. In those rare instances, we will contact you with status updates. Again, Idealstor thanks you for your purchase and we encourage you to contact a Support Representative should you have any questions or concerns regarding your warranty.
