What Is Idealstor?

Idealstor is a complete backup system that uses removable and inexpensive Serial ATA (SATA) disks for backup and offsite storage. Idealstor is positioned as a true replacement for tape technology by giving you the speed of disk backup coupled with the portability of tape backup. Idealstor can be used for offsite storage or nearline storage of data and can transfer data at speeds up to 300mb/second. Our hardware is compatible with the largest SATA disks available and currently each Idealstor Bay can accommodate up to a 1TB native SATA disk..

Each Idealstor system comes installed with Windows as the operating system and becomes the host for your backup software. While we do provide our own backup software, iBac 4.0, Idealstor is compatible with many other backup software products that are on the market.
